Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and the makers of Stocked Well. By using Stocked Well, you agree to them.
1. Who can use it
You must be 16 or older. Keep your email account safe: anyone who can read your email can sign in as you.
2. Testing version
Stocked Well is being tested right now. It may change, break or lose data. It's free while we test.
3. Food safety and allergies: please read
- Allergy and diet tags are a guide, not a promise. Tags like "Nut-free", "Gluten-free" and "Dairy-free" depend on the exact products you buy. Always check the labels yourself. If you or someone you cook for has a serious allergy, don't rely on the app alone.
- Follow safe food handling. We give safe cooking temperatures from Health Canada, but you're responsible for how food is stored, prepared and cooked in your kitchen.
- Nutrition numbers are estimates, worked out from the ingredients. They're not medical or dietary advice. Talk to a doctor or dietitian about your health needs.
- Swaps and suggestions are ideas, not guarantees that a dish will work or be safe for everyone.
4. The AI can make mistakes
Receipts and recipes are read by AI, and it can misread things. That's why you check the list before saving. You're responsible for what you save.
5. Your recipes
Recipes you add are still yours. You let us store them and show them to your household so the app can work. Only add recipes you have the right to use: your own, your family's, or ones from a book you own, for your household's private use. Don't add recipes to share them in ways their authors haven't allowed.
6. Our content
The app, its design and its built-in recipes belong to us. You may use them for your own household's cooking. Please don't copy, sell or republish them.
7. Fair use
Don't misuse the app: no breaking in, overloading it, guessing invite codes, using it to bother other people, or taking the app apart to copy it.
8. Ending
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. We may also close the app; if we do, we'll give you notice first.
9. Limits on our responsibility
The app is provided "as is". As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, such as spoiled food, a recipe that didn't turn out, or something missing from your list. Nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer protection law.
10. Changes
If we make an important change to these terms, we'll tell you in the app first.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and Canada.
